Richard Clair ‘Mac’ McIntyre

Richard Clair “Mac” McIntyre, 85, Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Altoona, died Feb. 23, 2017, due to complications from surgery.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Calvin C. and Grace M. (Brown) McIntyre.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara (Edelblute) McIntyre of Sacramento, Calif.; a daughter, Kim (McIntyre) Stephens and husband, Roger, of Carmichael, Calif.; two sons: Michael McIntyre and wife, Anne, of Cool, Calif., and Terry McIntyre of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janet (McIntyre) Lockard.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey (McIntyre) Grove.
Mac was a 1950 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served for 20 years. He retired from Regional Transit, Sacramento, Calif.
He enjoyed fishing, golf, wine tasting and the Pittsburg Steelers. He was a past exalted ruler of Benevolent Protective Order of Elks No. 2484, Rancho Cordova, Calif.
Interment with full military honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. March 24, 2017, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
Friends will be received at 1 p.m. March 25, 2017, at Rancho Cordova Elks Lodge No. 2484, Rancho Cordova, Calif.
