Agnes C. ‘Aggie’ DiNicola

Agnes C. “Aggie” DiNicola, 90, Altoona, passed away Thursday at her residence.

She was born in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late Paul and Sue (Patrick) Dulick. She married Bernardino “Bennie” DiNicola at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, and he preceded her in death in 1985.

Surviving are a son, Albert J. DiNicola (Wendy) of Albany, N.Y.; three daughters: Rosemary Olszewski (Ronald), Susan Pallone and Gina Cooper (Mitch), all of Altoona; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mary DiNicola of Syracuse, N.Y.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving schnauzer, Nicole No. 5.

She was preceded in death by a son, Paul L. DiNicola; a brother; five sisters; and a son-in-law, Donald Pallone.

Agnes worked for many years as a production worker for Sylvania, and she retired from HealthSouth Rehabilitation Dietary Department.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona, where she was a member of the Holy Name Society. She enjoyed her Healthy Steps in Motion exercise classes and her time with her friends there.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2017, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona, Franciscan Fathers as celebrants. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
