Dorothy E. Kline

Dorothy E. Kline, 88, Hastings, passed away Thursday at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

She was born in East McKeesport, daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Abele) Koelsch. On July 17, 1954, she married Alfred “Doc” Kline.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years; four children: Diane Stephens and husband, Jeffrey, of Hollidaysburg, Donna Cook and husband, David, of Ebensburg, David Kline and wife, Beverly (Bearer), of Hastings, and Denise Paronish and husband, Thomas, of Northern Cambria; 13 grandchildren: Kevin, Todd and Erica Stephens, Sharon (Cook) Manning, Emily (Cook) Hegemann and Renee Cook, Olivia (Kline) Gaston and Christopher Kline, and Tommy, Leah (Paronish) Cusimano, Nolan, John and Troy Paronish; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Mary Englert of White Oak and Betty Kline of Nicktown.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Koelsch.

Born a “city girl,” Dorothy became a “farm girl” when she married her loving husband, Alfred. Together, they lived a wonderful life working together on their farm and raising a beautiful family. Dorothy was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings, and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings, Father Thaddeus Rettger, OSB, celebrant. Committal will be at the church cemetery.
