Thomas M. Cooper

Thomas M. Cooper, 90, Newry, died Saturday at home.

He was born in Newry, son of the late William and Margaret (Weaver) Cooper. He married Pauline L. Dodson on Nov. 6, 1946, at St. Patrick Church.

Surviving are his wife; four children: Shirley, Edward, Theresa Boyer and Mark (Robin); eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Casey.

Tom was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII, and received five bronze service stars for his service. He was a life-long member of St. Patrick Church and a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 14, 2014, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville, and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at St. Patrick Church, Newry, officiated by Father Allen Zeth, followed by full military honors. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
