Marjorie J. Ginter, 94, Haines City, Fla., was called home by her Lord on July 22, 2014, in Haines City.

Prior to moving to Florida, she had resided in Mechanicsburg with her daughter, the late Patricia Simokat, and her son-in-law, Al Simokat. She had formerly resided in Duncansville and Altoona.

Marjorie was born in Hollidaysburg, the eldest of five children of Edwin and Bessie Burk. She married John F. Ginter of Hollidaysburg on Sept. 23, 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1982.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Calabro; four grandchildren: Mark Ruggiero, Jeffrey Ruggiero, Michael Clouser and Amy Clouser; three step-grandchildren: Allan Simokat, Mark Simokat and Cindy Reeson; two great-grandchildren: Maxim and Matisse; and six step-great-grandchildren: Brian, Angela, Christina, Marsha, Ashley and Josh.

Marjorie most recently attended Daybreak Church in Mechanicsburg but was a longtime member of Frankstown Park Missionary Church of Hollidaysburg, actively serving as a Sunday school teacher, deacon and member of the board, as well as assisting in many other capacities throughout the years. She will be missed by her many friends, including Pastor and Mrs. Roland Cadle of Frankstown Park Missionary Church and Mike and Janet Mercer of Altoona, as well as the women who attended her Monday morning Bible study in Altoona and the women of the small group Bible study in Mechanicsburg.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Frankstown Park Missionary Church, Hollidaysburg.
