Clyde Edward Miller

Clyde Edward Miller, 78, Altoona, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday.

He was the son of the late William C. and Viola (Decker) Miller.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Helen (Waite); a son, Richard; a daughter, Susan Yoder and husband, Bill; three grandchildren: Eric Miller, Ashley Hinkle and Katie Talbert; six great-grandchildren: Noah, Logan, Braden and Emily Hinkle and Harley and Hunter Talbert; a sister, Mary Kay Myers; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: King and Kenneth Wise and Richard Miller; and two sisters: Vivian Melton and Donna Joy (Miller) Focht.

Ed graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1954. He worked for Penn Furniture in Altoona for many years and retired from Snyder of Berlin. He and his wife were active in the American Red Cross, Jolly 60’s, Son Shine Joy, Share-A-Thon for WJSM, local elections, and other activities. He attended Riggles Gap Bible Church and loved the Lord.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 18, 2014, and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Pastor William Ice officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
