Ronald C. ‘Chap’ Brown

Ronald C. “Chap” Brown, 67, Claysburg, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Bedford, son of the late Roy M. and Mary E. (Brown) Brown. He married Sandy Lee on Oct. 18, 1980, in Roaring Spring.

Surviving are his wife; four children: Mark Claycomb, Dennis Bowers, Tracey Brown and fiance, Robert Amiegh, and Angel Brown, all of Claysburg; eight grandchildren: Tehia, Harlee, Kelsey, Taylor, Kerina, Audreyonna, Mark Jr. and Ciearia; three great-grandchildren: Jade, Bre and Irs; and a brother, Sherman Brown.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Homer, Joseph and Melvin; and two sisters: Erma Brown and Pauline Dively.

Chap was formerly employed at the Newry Block Plant and then huckstered produce and hauled scrap metal. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting guns and antiques.

Friends will be received from 2 until the 4 p.m. memorial service Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, Pastor James Neatrour officiating.
