Robert A. Pooler

Robert A. Pooler, 57, East Freedom, passed away Friday at home.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Richard Cyrle Right Pooler I and Regina (Herr). He married Laurene (Ritchey) Wagner on Nov. 23, 2002, in Claysburg.

Surviving are his wife; a stepdaughter, Heidi Feathers; a stepgranddaughter, Erika Feathers; six brothers: Richard II, Michael, David, James, Paul and Greg; three sisters: Gladys Wertz, Jacqueline Claybaugh and Regina Hollen; many nieces and nephews; and his cats, Flutter and Sophie.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Kruise.

Robert was a 1975 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He had been employed at ER Carpenter, Communication Construction Group and several other companies throughout his life. He enjoyed working on cars, NASCAR racing and hunting.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the funeral home, with Pastor James Neatrour officiating. Interment will be at Bedford County Memorial Park.
