Dawnfloris Dougal, 77, Altoona, died Tuesday at home after a brief illness.
She was born in Huntingdon, daughter of the late Charles Melvin and Frances Mary (Ruby) Arnold. She married Glenn E. Dougal on June 26, 1982, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Altoona.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters: Peggy A. Sipes (Barry) and Judy A. Burr (Vince), both of Altoona; two sons: Randolph E. Judy (Teresa) of Portland, Ore., and Paul A. Judy (Kathy) of Altoona; seven grandchildren: Jennifer Belgin of Sparks, Md., Barry Sipes Jr., Jessica O’Rourke, Vincent Burr III, Paul A. Judy II and Kristopher Judy, all of Altoona, and Dawn Floris Burr of Virginia Beach, Va.; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Charlotte A. Underkoffler of Camp Hill and Harriet T. Baer; and a brother, Charles M. Arnold of Camp Hill.
She is also survived by her beloved pets: Poochy and Sammy.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry W. Arnold; two brothers-in-law: James Underkoffler and Harry Dougal; and a great-granddaughter, Madilyn Belgin.
Dawnfloris had been employed at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home and Golden LivingCenter-Hillview. She was a member of Second Avenue United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, sewing, painting, gardening, shopping and spending time with her family and pets.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, and 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday, May 10, 2014, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Pastor Kathy Colebank officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
