Paul V. Webber
Paul V. Webber, 85, Altoona, died peacefully Monday afternoon surrounded by his family at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Herman and Kathryn (Dugan) Webber. He married Clara B. (Myrt) Moore on June 17, 1955, in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife of more than 58 years; two daughters: Carol A. Detrich and husband, Dan, of Hollidaysburg and Susan W. Fedeli and husband, Joe, of State College; six grandchildren: Jessica Savino, Danielle Delsandro, Joshua Detrich, Kristen Fedeli, Megan Fedeli and Brandon Fedeli; and two great-grandchildren: Ella and Jayden Savino.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Lila Marks and Helen Wible; and two brothers: Lee and Thomas.
Paul was an Altoona High School graduate and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Ward Trucking for more than 30 years as a truck driver. He was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with family.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., the Rev. Ron Osinski officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
