Norman R. Ball

Norman Robert Ball, 76, Berryville, Va., died Saturday in the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Winchester, Va.

Norman was born in Coupon, son of the late Elery and Catherine (Delozier) Ball. He married Mary L. Pettenati on June 8, 1957, in Coupon.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Christine Bernazzoli and her husband, Rocky, of Duncanville; two sons: Steven and his wife, Karen, of Greer, S.C., and Mark and his wife, Patty, of Cranberry Township; a sister, Beverly Pulcine and her husband, Bill, of Altoona; two brothers: Lawrence and his wife, Jeannie, of Ebensburg and Ardell and his wife, Roxanne, of Ashville; and four grandchildren: Gina Bernazzoli of Morgantown, W.V., Julia Bernazzoli of Duncansville, Loren Ball of Cranberry Township and Karson Ball of Greer, S.C.

His brother, Glenn, preceded him in death.

Norman was a supervisor for AT&T for more than 30 years and later was an outside plant manager for WorldCom and a project manager for J & P Enterprises.

He was a member of St. Bridget’s Chapel in the Field, Berryville, Knights of Columbus and Telephone Pioneers of America.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at St. Bridget’s Chapel in the Field, Berryville, with the Rev. Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Coupon.
