Travis Lee Farber

Travis Lee Farber, 18, Altoona, died Wednesday at his residence.

He was born in Altoona, son of Bryon and Jennie (Cruse) Farber.

Surviving are his parents; his girlfriend, Brooke Stephanic; and numerous aunts, uncles, grandparents, his grandfather, Gary L. Cruse and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Iona Croft, and his great-grandmother, Ruth I. Cruse.

Travis was a 2013 graduate of Altoona Area High School and the cabinetmaking program at the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center. He was employed at Pittsburgh Glass Works in Tipton and also worked in maintenance at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona. He was an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 3025, Altoona.

Travis enjoyed life, his friends and family, his dogs, Abby and Skippy, his cat, Sandy, fishing, riding his bicycle, woodworking, basketball, football and hacky sack. He also enjoyed watching Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football and was a WWE fan.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. by Monsignor Timothy Stein of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Food for Families Food Pantry, 2201 Union Ave., Altoona, PA 16601, or the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
