Evelyn C. Wagner
Evelyn C. Wagner, 81, Duncansville, formerly of Scranton, died Tuesday morning at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.
She was born in Scranton, daughter of the late John F. and Elsie A. (Andren) Burke. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael J. McAndrew, in 1965 and by her second husband, Ralph G. Wagner, in 1975.
Surviving are four children: Michael J. McAndrew III (Lauri) of Altoona, John F. McAndrew of Duncansville, James J. McAndrew (Katherine) of Midlothian, Va., and Lynn A. (Wagner) Yeager (Don) of Hollidaysburg; seven grandchildren: Michael J. McAndrew IV, Laurin Ashley McAndrew, Katelin Haley McAndrew, Katie Ellen McAndrew, Emily Rhianne McAndrew, Jacob Morgan Yeager and Luke Robert Yeager; and a sister, Mary Kelly of Scranton.
Evelyn was a graduate of West Scranton High School. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Heidelberg Country Club and Duncansville VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed bingo, reading on her porch and spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
Memorial contributions may be made to Boys Town or St. Catherine of Siena Church.
