Catherine Henderson, 93, a resident of Brinton Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Winfield in Sykesville, Md., formerly of Glasgow, died Saturday.
She was born in Coalport, daughter of the late Ira Frank and Martha Henderson.
Surviving are two nieces: Beverly Troxell Zajkowski of Rochester, N.Y., and Patty Henderson of Pittsburgh; two great-nieces: Kristen O’Hearn of Rochester and daughters, Heather and Lauren, and Julia Zajkowski and husband, Jio Ose, of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and their twin daughters, Sofya and Kaito; and very special mentors and friends: Pastor Paul and Adele Warnkes and their children, Chuck and Mary.
She was preceded in death by her adoptive mother, Mary Troxell and husband, Lawrence; a brother, Kyle Troxell and wife, Helen; and a sister, Ruth Troxell.
Catherine had been a home economics teacher for Logan Junior High School, Altoona. She was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Glasgow.
A memorial service will be held at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Glasgow, and the National Lutheran Home in Rockville, Md., at a future date. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
