Jeffery “Big Red” Markovich, 54, Claysburg, passed away Friday at home.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of William A. Markovich Sr. and the late Flora (Knisely) Markovich. He married Cheryl Davis on June 18, 2008, in Martinsburg.
Surviving are his father; his wife; two daughters: Jessica (Jamie) and Lindsay (Ben); two stepdaughters: Rachel and Natalie Brenner; four grandchildren: Blake and Cassidi Barnes and Landon and Eli Meck; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William A. Jr.
Jeff was a 1978 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and a member of Carpenters Union Local 2274, Pittsburgh. He enjoyed riding his Harley, playing in a pool league and hanging out with family and friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Claysburg, with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the family.
