Margaret D. Hileman
Margaret Dorothy Hileman, 95, rural Williamsburg, passed away early Thursday morning at her residence.
She was born in rural Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Dorsey E. and Anna Mary (Love) Young. She married Eugene S. “Bucky” Hileman on Oct. 8, 1941, in Cumberland, Md., and he passed away on Dec. 10, 1995.
Surviving are three daughters: Martha Anne Claycomb (Joe) of Chambersburg, Phyllis L. “Jeannie” Smith of rural Martinsburg and Kathy J. Yeager (Clay) of rural Williamsburg; a son, Phillip E. of rural Williamsburg; 10 grandchildren: Janine Miller (Sam), Jay Claycomb, Heather Stewart (Phil), Adam Hileman (Amy), Christine Palmer (Jerry), Joshua Smith (Mandy), Jordan Smith, Kara Brenneman (Heath), Jenna Smith and Mitchell Yeager; 11 great-grandchildren: Bradyn and Noah Claycomb, Jack, Drew and Ayla Hileman, Lambert and Megan Palmer, Reese Miller, Brooke and Logan Stewart and Lila Smith; a special daughter-in-law, Dolly Hileman; and a special niece and nephew: Peggy and Bob Vennum.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, William Eugene Yeager, on Dec. 15, 1985; a son-in-law, Max D. Smith, on March 10, 2012; three brothers: William, Marion and James Young; and two sisters: Susie Brua and Edna Ash.
Margaret was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Zion Lutheran Church, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiating. Interment will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be given to Zion Lutheran Church.
