Ada M. ‘Sis’ Heverly
Ada M. “Sis” Heverly, 77, Roaring Spring, died Monday evening at home after a brief illness.
She was born in Claysburg, daughter of the late Henry and Sara (Feathers) Claar. She married Robert Heverly, and he died April 2, 2001.
Surviving are a son, Dale A. Weitzel of Roaring Spring; a granddaughter, Kayla Colledge and husband, Richard, of New Paris; two great-grandchildren: Lacie and Marissa and another on the way; and nine siblings: Clair, Donald, Sam, Richard, Dave, Walter, Esther, Thelma and Jeannie.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann; and a brother, Bob.
Ada was a 1954 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and retired from Cove Shoe Co. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God, Roaring Spring, and enjoyed cross-stitching.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, and noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Faith Assembly of God, Roaring Spring, Pastor Anthony Baker officiating. Interment will be made in Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
Contributions in Ada’s memory may be given to Faith Assembly of God, Roaring Spring.
