Troxel D. ‘Chick’ Dively

Troxel Dolores “Chick” Dively, 90, Altoona, died peacefully Tuesday evening at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in South Fork, daughter of the late James and Nellie (Cummings) Higham. She married John A. Dively on July 26, 1941, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2001.

Surviving are two children: Carolyn J. Endress of Altoona and John A. Jr. (Christine) of Duncansville; and a grandson, Shawn Dively (April) of Cleveland, Ohio.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by five sisters and a brother, as well as a son-in-law, Michael Endress.

Chick enjoyed crocheting, doing needlepoint, flower gardening and spending time with her grandson.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville, Jack Hoffer officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
