Theresa B. Kephart
Theresa B. Kephart, 79, Gallitzin, died Friday at her home.
She was born in Gallitzin, daughter of the late Clarence and Ella (Fannon) Healy.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest R. “Ray,” whom she married on June 30, 1956; and these daughters: Patty Derosa of Ebensburg, Jeanne of Northern Cambria, Mary Ellen Urbanek of Gallitzin, Ann Graeff of Camp Hill, Denise Ratay of Altoona, Theresa Remacle of Altoona, Linda Bruce of Gallitzin, Susan Ratay of Altoona and Diane Warren of Altoona; 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and the nurses from Home Nursing Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her sons: Joseph on Aug. 9, 1980, Ernest R. “Ray” on Nov. 6, 1994, and Michael on March 26, 2006; sisters: Madeline, twins Kathleen and Oleen; and brothers: Jack, Jim, Kenneth and Patrick. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Theresa enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, cooking and walking with her husband, Ray.
She was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where a vigil service will be held Tuesday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, the Rev. Albert Ledoux as celebrant. Committal will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
