Riley C. Brown

Riley C. Brown, 82, Roaring Spring, passed away Saturday at home.

He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Sheridan and Arminta (McGee) Brown. He married Joyce Lingenfelter on June 27, 1952, in Leamersville.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Kathy Diehl and husband, Earnie, of Duncansville; three grandsons: Zane (Amanda) of East Freedom and Nathan (Grace) and Jesse (Meganne), both of Duncansville; two great-grandsons: Eli and Triston; a sister, Mary Carolyn Stoops of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Herbert and Marvin; two sisters: Lois and Dorothy; a nephew, Earl J. Stoops; and a niece, Debbie Stoops.

Riley served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He retired in 1994 from the International Association of Iron Workers Local Union 207 of Youngstown, Ohio, and Local Union 3 of Pittsburgh. He attended Grace Fellowship Church – Leamersville Campus and was a member of the 32nd-degree Masons of the Syria Temple, Pittsburgh, and the Youngstown Ohio Shrine Club.

Riley enjoyed spending time with his family and grandsons.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
