Jack Rossman

Jack Rossman, 78, Reservoir Road, Hollidaysburg, died Sunday suddenly at home.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Boyd and Laura (Curry) Rossman.

Surviving are his wife, Joan; five children: Cathy, Elton, David, Theresa and Sandy; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two stepsons: Rich (Sherri) and George (Robin); three siblings: Marge, Jean and Ken; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend and neighbor, Ken “Skinny.”

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy; and nine siblings: Erma, Louise and husband, Clarence, Dorothy, Clair and wife, Dee, Glen, Melvin, Gerald, Don and Bob.

Jack was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1952-55. He retired from SKF after 30 years of service. He enjoyed going to flea markets, fixing lawn mowers, watching Western TV shows and listening to 1950s music.

Friends will be received from noon to 2 and 4 until the 6 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville, the Rev. Allen Zeth officiating. Committal will be private and at the convenience of the family with military rites.
