David A. Robinson

David A. Robinson, 56, Colver, passed away Thursday at Windber Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Altoona, son of Melvin L. Robinson and the late Theresa M. Robinson.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Jeanne (Fenchak); two children: Jeremy A. and Caitlin M. and boyfriend, Chad M. Weaver; his father; two sisters: Kathy (Glenn) Kuhn and Cindy (Jay) Lytle; two brothers: Larry (Patti) and Dennis (Cathy); two sisters-in-law: Lisa Robinson and Carole Ostinowsky; two brothers-in-law: John (Linda) Washko and Denny Ostinowsky; and his parents-in-law, James and Francena Fenchak.

He was a loving uncle to nephews and nieces: Brian (Barbara) Kuhn, Jason (Liz) Kuhn, Jenny (Scott) Miller, Melanie (Mike) Cree, Diane (Billy) Yost, Dawn Ash, Michael Robinson, Jordan Robinson, Kelly Robinson, Nikkie Washko and boyfriend, Phil Sitter, Kayla Washko, Jamie Ostinowsky and Kelly Ostinowsky; great-nephews and great-nieces: Breann Kuhn, Casey Kuhn, Lydia Kuhn, Alan Spence, Steven Miller, Billy Miller, Holly (Adam) Schaffer, Scott Lytle, Morgan Cree, Mikayla Cree, Mallory Cree, Harley Yost, Luke Yost, Jayda Yost, Ty Dragos, Brooke Dragos, Mylie Ostinowsky and Brennan Ostinowsky; a great-great-nephew, Logan Schaffer; and a great-great-niece, Emersyn Miller.

He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Linda Fenchak Washko.

David was employed at AC Power, Colver, and the Phoenix Restaurant, Altoona. He was a member of Holy Family Church, Colver, and the Heidelberg Country Club, Altoona. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers and Penn State football.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Holy Family Church, Colver, the Rev. Bernard Grega as celebrant. Interment will be at Lloyd Cemetery.
