Connie L. Amrhein-Bigley
Connie L. Amrhein-Bigley, 66, of 130 Greeves St., Kane, formerly of Duncansville, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Duncansville, daughter of the late Cyril and Cecelia (Decker) Harker. She married Thomas L. Bigley in 1985 in Duncansville, and he died in 2006.
Surviving are a son, Andrew (Dana) Amrhein of Altoona; two stepsons: Jerry (Dawn) Bigley of Kane and Stephen (Sheila) Bigley of Taftville, Conn.; a stepdaughter, Linda (Jeff) Kinney of Kane; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Harker of Bellwood; a sister-in-law, Karen Bigley of Kane; a brother-in-law, Ken (Marie) Bigley of Centerville; and three nieces and nephews. She also is survived by her lifetime friend, Janet Musselman of Newton Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Amrhein; and her first husband, Allen Amrhein.
Connie was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a dietary aide at Kane Community Hospital. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church and was very active in both her church and community.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Cummings Funeral Home Inc., 151 Greeves St., Kane. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at St. Callistus Church. Burial will be at Roses Cemetery in Marienville.
