Richard L. Oldham

Richard L. Oldham, 52, Roaring Spring, died Thursday evening at UPMC Altoona, following a brief illness of cancer.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Francis L. “Ned” and Betty L. (Dell) Oldham. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Roxann G. Landis, who died Oct. 17, 1999.

He is survived by two sons: Richard F. Oldham and his wife, Jolene, and Derek L. Oldham, all of Roaring Spring; a granddaughter, Rylie Grace; and three sisters and three brothers: F. Leroy Dell and wife, Nancy, of Altoona, Joan E. Martz and husband, Wayne, of Roaring Spring, Donald C. Oldham and fiancee, Betty Hoffman, of Roaring Spring, George M. Oldham and wife, Connie, of Altoona, Cathy Reyan and husband, Bill, of Breezewood, and Martha J. Oldham and partner, Kim, of Riddlesburg.

Richard attended Foot of Ten Independent Bible Church.

He was previously employed at Sheetz Distribution Center, Claysburg.

He was a 1979 graduate of Central High School.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and relaxing on the porch.

Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at David Myers Funeral Home, Newport, by Pastor Dave Huston. Interment will be made at Eshcol Cemetery, Millerstown.

Contributions in Richard’s memory may be given to the family.
