Harry Martin, 97, Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, went to be with the Lord Sunday at the home.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Michael and Raffael (Martino) Martin.
He is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and he was the last surviving sibling of his family.
Harry served in the U.S. Army Field Artillery during WWII, achieving the rank of technician fifth grade with three Bronze Stars. He worked at Thrift Drug in the maintenance department and at Wendy’s restaurant. He was a member of Grace Bible Church, and he enjoyed gardening, playing his violin and mandolin and reading his Bible.
Friends will be received from 6 until the 7:30 p.m. funeral service Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Santella Funeral Home, the Rev. Peggy Bonsell officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
