Rosie Olene Musselman

Rosie Olene Musselman, 91, a resident of Pennknoll Village, Everett, formerly of Claysburg, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Bedford Memorial.

She was born in Klahr, daughter of the late Austin and Minnie (Lingenfelter) Claar.

Surviving are two sons: Gail and wife, Kathy, and Herb and wife, Shirley, all of Claysburg; a daughter, Ruby Howsare and husband, Veryl, of Everett; five grandchildren: Matthew, Kristi and Gregory Musselman, Chynna Herman and Kimberly Burger; and a great-granddaughter, Alivia Musselman.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Francis and Floyd; and two brothers: Russell and Robert Claar. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Olene was a 1940 graduate of Claysburg High School. She was a member of Lower Claar Church of the Brethren and its women’s work. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Lower Claar Church of the Brethren, the Rev. Mary Lou Hall officiating. Interment will be at Upper Claar Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Lower Claar Church of the Brethren.
