Arthur served proudly in WW II and continued his career until retiring with the rank of colonel in 1971. Upon retirement, he and Frances moved to Lake Horace, N.H., where many wonderful years were spent entertaining grandchildren and creating the best childhood memories for them in their cottage on the lake. They finally came to Hollidaysburg in 2002. Arthur held a deep loving devotion to his wife, Frances, whom he called his “Diamond” and his heart was broken after her death in April of this year. He never wanted to have an anniversary without her and left this earth to be with her on their “71st” anniversary to spend it with her in heaven. Theirs was a true love story.
