Raphael A. ‘Ray’ Monsanto

Raphael A. “Ray” Monsanto, 66, Grosse Pointe, Mich., took refuge with the Lord on Wednesday (Psalm 14:32). He was born in New York City, son of the late Rafael and Margarita Monsanto.
Surviving are his loving wife Benita J. Rohm; a brother, Gilberto Monsanto and wife, Alba; a sister, Margarita Garcia and husband, Miguel; a brother-in-law, Brian Rohm; and his mother-in-law, Betty J. Rohm of Duncansville; a nephew, Gilberto; a niece, Melissa; a great-nephew, Gabriel; and a great-niece, Victoria; and many friends, family and acquaintances whose lives he touched with his wisdom.
A practicing patent attorney with his wife at Rohm & Monsanto PLC, he was also a skilled musician throughout most of his lifetime. With quick wit and clarity of thought, Ray will be remembered as a kind and caring man with whom you could share a moment and always walk away with a smile on your face.
Family and friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, 22 West Main St., Everett, from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, with the funeral ceremony to be held at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
