William E. ‘Bill’ Muriceak

William E. “Bill” Muriceak, 74, Altoona, died Wednesday.

He was born in Lilly, son of the late Frank and Lucy (Krawick) Muriceak. He married Cheryl A. Chathams on Nov. 19, 1966, in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Denice Brinley and husband, Dennis, of Camp Hill; a son, Jeff A. and wife, Joan, of Hollidaysburg; four grandchildren: Claire and Grace Muriceak and Morgan and Evan Brinley; and two brothers: Raymond and wife, Dolly, of Mechanicsburg and Thomas of Apollo Beach, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James.

Bill was a 1957 graduate of Cresson High School. He was a retired architect and also retired from the Redevelopment Authority of Altoona, where he had served as a former deputy director. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona.

Bill belonged to the Summit Country Club and was an avid golfer.

All services will be private with interment at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC or the American Cancer Society, Blair Unit.
