Robert S. Hite

Robert S. Hite, 90, Hollidaysburg, died Tuesday morning at The Village at Morrisons Cove.

He was born in Blair Township, son of the late Elmer and Ellen (Yingling) Hite.

Surviving are three daughters: Ruth Shriver (Gary) in Wyoming, Beth Hite of Hollidaysburg and Connie Lou Swets (Tim) of Beaver Falls; a son, Robert Scott (Karlene) of Altoona; five grandchildren: Nichole Millican, Adriane Shriver, Andrew Hite, Terry Pollard and Jackie Adikin; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, John; and all his siblings: Sheldon, Roger and Paul Hite, Betty Smith and Sister Jane Francis, R.S.M.

Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during WWII. He retired in 1991 from the Department of General Services, where he was an electrical inspector. He was a member of the Heidelberg Country Club and American Legion and a life member of the VFW.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville, immediately followed by a celebration of life service at 8 p.m. officiated by Pastor James Zaebst. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 until the 8 p.m. funeral service Friday, May 31, 2013, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville.
