Margaret J. Ringler

Margaret J. Ringler, 95, Hollidaysburg, died Tuesday at her residence.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Miller) Utley. She married Samuel James Robison Jr. in 1937. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1997. She married John Ringler on April 2, 1956, and he preceded her in death May 30, 1992.

Surviving are three sons: Samuel J. Robison III (Joan) of Blythewood, S.C., Thomas L. Robison (Gretchen) of Duncansville and John M. Ringler Jr. (Stephanie) of Woodbridge, N.J.; 11 grandchildren: Samuel James IV, Daniel, Virginia, Kathleen, Margaret, Beth, Jennifer, Thomas Jr., Stefanie, Jeremy and Shannon; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Utley; and three sisters: Thelma Hannon, Anna Marie Neff and Mary Witt.

Margaret attended Altoona schools. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of St. Mary’s Guild, Hollidaysburg, YMCA Ladies Auxiliary, Hollidaysburg, numerous local card clubs and Logan Valley Transit Company Drivers Ladies Auxiliary.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Monsignor Stanley Carson. Committal will be at Blair Memorial Park.
