Stephen G. ‘Steve’ Iacurto

Stephen G. “Steve” Iacurto, 61, Altoona, died Tuesday at Altoona Regional after an apparent heart attack.

He was born in Altoona, son of Julius Iacurto and the late Ann (Adams) Iacurto. He married Rebecca L. Shafer on July 24, 1976, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.

Surviving are his wife; three children: Michael J. of Altoona, Caroline A. and fiance, Ryan Kuhn, of Hollidaysburg and John D. “Jake” and girlfriend, Brittany Bowser, of Duncansville; a grandson, Aiden; his father and stepmother, Evelyn, of Altoona; and a sister, Julianne Seidel of Altoona.

Steve was a 1969 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He was a terminal manager at Goodman Tank Lines with six years of service, and he previously had worked at Sel-Lo Oil Inc. for 10 years. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.

Steve enjoyed his family, especially his new grandson, Aiden, the New England Patriots, Penn State and cooking. He also loved his spoiled rotten German shepherd, Kelsey.

Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at Jones Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service outside of Mass at 7 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
