Marjorie A. Miller

Marjorie A. Miller, 85, of 213 Green Ave., Lewistown, died Sunday morning at Lewistown Hospital.

She was born in Windber, daughter of the late John A. and Edith (Sheaffer) Lofflin. She married G. Jackson Miller on Jan. 4, 1947, at Grove Memorial United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Scott J. of Altoona; a daughter-in law, Donna (Morvan) of Altoona; four grandchildren: Jonathan H. Miller, Katie N. Lininger and husband, Jacob, Mackenzie A. Miller and Scott J. Miller II, all of Altoona; two great-grandsons; and a sister, Delores Brought of Lewistown.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jon G., in 2000.

Marjorie was a 1945 graduate of Lewistown High School. She was a member of Grove Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the IHS Sunday school class, and she also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star in Altoona.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Grove Memorial United Methodist Church, the Rev. Theresa Fink officiating. Interment was in St. Mark’s Cemetery.
