Craig B. Leamer

May 27, 1957 – April 25, 2013

Craig B. Leamer, 55, of Tarentum, Pa., formerly of Tyrone, died unexpectedly Thursday at the Forbes Regional Hospital Emergency Room, Pittsburgh.

He was born in Harrisburg, son of Carl and Joyce (Briggs) Leamer.

He is survived by a daughter, Erin Leamer of Tyrone; two sons: Ryan of Shippensburg and Christopher of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren: Ava and Trey Moore; his mother of Tyrone; a brother, Jeff and wife, Michele, of Altoona; a sister, Kris Ann Feller and husband, Steve, of Coshocton, Ohio; and a special friend, Bonnie Parsons of Tarentum. He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Leamer was employed at Lifeline Sleep Center, Forest Hill, as senior polysomnographic technologist since 2009. He had been previously employed by HealthSouth for 15 years, Centrepointe, Pittsburgh, for three years; and was manager of respiratory services at Ralph H. Johnson Veteran’s Hospital, Charleston, S.C., for four years.

He was a 1975 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and a 1980 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he received a B.S. degree in respiratory therapy. He then completed a two-year internship in respiratory therapy at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He had been a Little League coach and played in the softball league in Tyrone for many years.

He enjoyed cooking and Dewey Beach, Del.

Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park.
