Pauline Dively, 82, a resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of East Freedom, passed away Wednesday at the Village.
She was born in East Freedom, daughter of the late Albert and Bessie (Tipton) Walter. She married Raymond Dively on May 8, 1949, in Claysburg, and he passed away in 1996.
Pauline raised two children, David Williams, who passed away Aug. 3, 2008, and Nancy Wilson in North Carolina, as her own. She is survived by a brother, Levi Walter of Roaring Spring, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Rhodes; and four brothers: John, James, Ray and her twin, Paul Walter.
Pauline was a homemaker. She attended the Church of God most of her life and most recently attended the Berean Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in church choirs, watching Jimmy Swaggart, keeping a tidy house, shopping with her cousin, Peg, dressing fashionably and taking care of her companion dog, Puppy. She had a distinctive laugh and a big smile, and her hospice caregivers would often comment that she had a “big smile today.”
Friends will be received from 3 until the 6 p.m. funeral service Monday, April 1, 2013, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, Pastor Donald Harr officiating. Interment will be at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
