Edward W. Conrad

Edward W. Conrad, 74, Camp Hill, formerly of Altoona, entered into eternal rest Sunday afternoon at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Pickens, W.Va., son of the late Elfred J. and Pearl Conrad.

Edward leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Maureen; two daughters: Sandra M. Weisner and husband, Richard, and Pamela A. Pedlow and husband, Wade; three grandchildren: Maris, Conrad and Travis; four brothers: Paul, Jack, George and Joseph; and three sisters: Hilda, Evelyn and Doreane.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Ruth Ellen and Patricia Ann.

Edward proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for seven years during the Vietnam era. Later he worked as a driver recruiter for Schneider International before his retirement. He was a member of the Lafayette Masonic Lodge, Selinsgrove, and Harrisburg Consistory and belonged to The Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Camp Hill.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. April 27, 2013, at The Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 E. Trindle Road, Camp Hill. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
