Patricia Mae Smith

Patricia Mae Smith, 64, New Germany, died Wednesday at Windber Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Colver, daughter of the late Gilbert and Bernice (Miller) Lewis. She married Kenneth Smith Sr. on July 18, 1970, in New Germany.

Surviving are her husband of 42 years; two sons: Kenneth Jr. and wife, Mandi Gramling, and Keith and wife, Cathy Zupon, all of New Germany; a daughter, Karmen Baumgardner and husband, Joe, of Summerhill; eight grandchildren: Thomas, Trevor, Justin, Tyler, Devin, Makena, Kara and Cate; a brother, Dean and wife, Sherry Raymond, of Amsbry; and a sister, Carol Ann Burns of Altoona.

Patti was a secretary for United Cerebral Palsy. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society, New Germany. She enjoyed bowling and was known for her woodcrafts and floral arrangements.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where the rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. and a vigil for the deceased will be held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by Father Leon Hont, O.S.B. Committal will be in Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.

As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, PA 15963, or John P. Murtha Regional Cancer Center, 337 Somerset St., Johnstown, PA 15901.
