Nancy L. Parshall, 70, Riggles Gap, died Thursday afternoon at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Lewis W. and Mary L. (Schaub) Lowery. She married James P. Parshall on June 15, 1963, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata.
Surviving are her husband; two sons: William L. (Jen) of Hollidaysburg and Steven P. of Riggles Gap and fiancee, Brandy of Bedford; 11 grandchildren: Ranelle, Kayla, Ricky, Brent, Zach, Jared, Matthew, Avery, Katelyn, Ayden and Abby; two great-grandchildren: Brendon and Jenelle; a brother, Fred Lowery of Hollidaysburg; and her dog, Lacey.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John “Butch” Lowery.
Nancy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and owned a Ford Mustang that she loved to drive. She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially preparing her famous buckwheat pancakes, cinnamon rolls, sloppy steaks, pumpkin pie and applesauce. She enjoyed watching QVC and daytime soap operas.
Nancy loved her family and especially adored her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, Pastor William Ice officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Easter Seals Central Pennsylvania, earmarked for the Down Syndrome Clinic, or to the Altoona Food Bank.
