Linda Lee Gutshall

Linda Lee Gutshall, 67, Bloomsburg, died Wednesday morning at her home.

She was born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Crunden) Francis. She married Robert Gutshall, formerly of Altoona, on March 3, 1967.

Surviving are her husband of 45 years; a son, James and wife, June, of Drums; a daughter, Jennifer and husband, Tony, of Mansfield, Conn.; two grandchildren: Jake and Andi; two sisters: Kathy Dixon and husband, Dale, of Osprey, Fla., and Karen Hayduk and husband, John, of Scott Township; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Matthew; and a sister, Susan Litwin, in 1989.

Linda was a 1963 graduate of Abington Heights High School, 1965 graduate of Keystone Junior College and 1967 graduate of Lock Haven University, and she earned her master’s degree in education at Bloomsburg State College. She began her teaching career at Lackawanna Trail and taught for more than 30 years at Memorial Elementary School in Bloomsburg.

Linda enjoyed her summers at her family cottage at Lake Sheridan and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Dean W. Kriner Funeral Home Inc., 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. Friends will also be received from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at the Anthony P. Litwin Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville, followed by a celebration of Linda’s life at 1 p.m.
