Sentencings

The following sentencings were filed in Blair County Court. Although some cases may be more than a year old, the Mirror publishes them in the interest of complete reporting.

The following defendants were placed in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a period of 60 days to 60 months. Each will pay costs of the program and complete 25-50 hours of community service.

Tara E. Leonard, 23, 108 65th St., Altoona, charged with driving under the influence, filed by Allegheny Township police on April 5, 2018.

George A. Daughenbaugh, 41, 410 Railroad St., Bellwood, charged with driving under the influence-highest rate of alcohol, filed by Logan Township police on March 3, 2018.

The following defendants pleaded guilty to charges listed and were sentenced as shown:

Frederick L. Glass II, 41, 1620 17th Ave., Altoona, sentenced Aug. 27, 2018, to $100 fine and 12 months’ probation for possession of drug paraphernalia, filed by Altoona police on March 20, 2018.

Shane A. Snyder, 37, 159 King St., Petersburg, sentenced Sept. 24, 2018, to 60 days in jail and $500 fine for driving while license is suspended or revoked and $200 fine and five years’ probation for endangering the welfare of a child, filed by Tyrone police on April 10, 2018.

Lori N. Rhoades, 40, 119 Dalmatian Lane, Tyrone, sentenced Aug. 31, 2018, to $100 fine and two years’ probation for retail theft, filed by Tyrone police on March 23, 2018.

Francis Swartzendruber, 55, 1411 Logan Ave., Tyrone, sentenced Sept. 10, 2018, to $100 fine and three months’ probation for disorderly conduct, filed by Tyrone police on Feb. 22, 2018.

Melissa N. Swartzendruber, 23, 954 Pennsylvania Ave., third floor, Tyrone, sentenced Sept. 28, 2018, to $100 fine for endangering the welfare of a child, filed by Tyrone police on Nov. 20, 2017.

Joseph D. Wingrove, 27, 334 Mitchell Lane, Altoona, sentenced Oct. 19, 2018, to $100 fine for possession of drug paraphernalia, filed by Logan Township police on March 30, 2018.
