Sentencings

The following sentencings were filed in Blair County Court. Although some cases may be more than a year old, the Mirror publishes them in the interest of complete reporting.

The following defendants were placed in Intermediate Punishment Program for a period of six-60 months after being charged with DUI and some with lesser offenses. Each will pay costs of the program and complete 10-50 hours of community service:

Jeffrey Millard, 36, 205 Sandy Run Road, Altoona, charged with DUI, highest rate of alcohol, filed by Logan Township police Nov. 11, 2014.

Evan Barner, 24, 1925 12th Ave., Altoona, charged with DUI-controlled substance filed by Altoona police Sept. 13, 2014.

Carly James, 40, 2916 Spruce Ave., Altoona, charged with DUI-controlled substance filed by Altoona police Nov. 15, 2014.

Hunter Karns, 30, 319 Allegheny St., Hollidaysburg charged with DUI, highest rate of alcohol, filed by Allegheny Township police Oct. 4, 2014.

Monica Barnhart, 45, 540 54th St., Altoona, charged with driving with a blood-alcohol content of 0.02 percent or greater while license suspended filed by Allegheny Township police Nov. 3, 2014.

The following defendants pleaded guilty to charges listed and were sentenced as shown:

Chris Rogers, 29, 1505 Everett Road, East Freedom, sentenced Jan. 6, 2015, to $1,000 fine, 72 hours to six months in jail for DUI-highest rate of alcohol filed by Altoona police Sept. 6, 2014.

Carrie Jo Skinner, 42, 2022 Third Ave., Altoona, sentenced April 13, 2015, to $25 fine for harassment; and $1,000 fine and 72 hours to six months in jail for DUI filed by Altoona police Oct. 24, 2014.

Mary Coffman, 43, 1508 19th St., rear, Altoona, sentenced Jan. 16, 2015, to $50 fine and one to two months in jail for retail theft filed by Blair County District Attorney on Oct. 25, 2014.

Iglael Bartolon-Gonzalez, 35, 1812 Hileman Road, Tyrone, sentenced May 22, 2015, to $300 fine and two years’ probation for corruption of minors filed by state police Jan. 1, 2014.

Robert O’Rourke, 35, 1250 Lincoln Ave., Tyrone, sentenced March 9, 2015, to $150 fine and 10 years’ probation for aggravated assault filed by Tyrone police Dec. 2, 2014.

Danny Weir, 64, 615 White St., Hollidaysburg, sentenced June 12, 2015, to $150 fine and five years’ probation for possession with intent to deliver filed by state police Aug. 25, 2011; to $150 fine and five years’ probation for possession with intent to deliver filed by state police Aug. 12, 2014; and to $150 fine and five years’ probation for possession with intent to deliver filed by state police Sept. 8, 2011.

Daniel Walter, 22, 120 Locust St., Claysburg, sentenced Jan. 23, 2015, to $50 fine and one year’s probation for harassment filed by Greenfield Township police Dec. 8, 2014.
