Bedford state police

– David A. Bollman Jr., 22, Breezewood, was cited for driving under the influence Feb. 6 on Route 26, West Providence Township.

– Harry McCartney, 23, Saxton, was charged Sunday with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct at the Saxton VFW, 602 Lower Main St., Saxton.

Altoona police

– Amanda Wagner, 1510 Second Ave., was charged Monday with disorderly conduct on the 1300 block of First Avenue.

— Someone stole three rings from a doctor’s office bathroom on the 200 block of Hospital Drive in Snake Spring Township on Feb. 9. The victim lost a diamond solitaire ring, opal and gold ring and a Bedford High School class ring with the initials “SLG” etched inside. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 623-6133.

Huntingdon state police

— Police are investigating an overnight burglary at Checker’s Grill in Shirley Township. According to police, someone smashed through the building’s glass front door between 10 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday and stole $500 in cash. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 627-3161.

Altoona police

– Gerald M. Price, 38, no fixed address, was arrested around Friday morning at 400 East Plank Road. He is charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

– David A. Bongiorno, no age listed, 102 East First Ave., turned himself over to Altoona police Friday morning on a simple assault warrant.

– Ernest P. Sims, 38, 2329 Beale Ave., was arrested early Saturday morning at the 24 Street Bridge and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, providing false identification to law enforcement, attempting to elude an officer and escape. He also faces charges for failing to move a vehicle from the scene of an accident, failing to display a registration plate and not meeting vehicle lighting requirements.

Hollidaysburg state police

– A Maryland driver who lost control of his vehicle Saturday evening along I-99 flipped the vehicle onto its driver’s side, police said, but walked away uninjured. According to police, Charles Casteel, 25, of Cumberland was heading south on I-99 when he lost control of his GMC Canyon near mile marker 22 in Freedom Township. Police said he overcorrected and spun 180 degrees before striking an embankment, rolling the SUV onto its driver’s side. He and his passenger were wearing seat belts and suffered no injuries. He will be cited for the crash, police said.

– A State College man was driving too fast for weather conditions Saturday morning and rolled his truck over and down an embankment, police said. According to police, Leo Schneider Jr., 68, was traveling south on I-99 when he lost control of his Toyota Tundra near the Grazierville exit. He veered off the right side of the road and overturned down an embankment. He was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured, police said. Schneider will be cited for the crash.

– Police said a Williamsburg man caused a three-vehicle crash Wednesday near Traditions Restaurant. According to police, Jason K. Loose, 39, was pulling out of Traditions’ parking lot Wednesday morning around 7:30 a.m. when he crossed into the path of an oncoming vehicle heading south on Curryville Road. The driver of that vehicle swerved to avoid Loose, police said, but struck his vehicle and continued south and struck a third vehicle that had been waiting to turn left into Traditions. All drivers and passengers were wearing seat belts. Police said Loose will be charged for failing to yield to traffic at a stop sign.

Bedford state police

– A Bedford couple face criminal charges after police said a verbal disagreement turned violent. According to police, Angela Clark, 36, and Garrett Welsh, 41, were fighting along East Pitt Street in Bedford Jan. 29 around 3:30 a.m. when their argument became physical. Police said both Clark and Welsh struck each other with an aluminum baseball bat. Both face charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.

– Bret A. Barefoot, 18, Osterburg, was charged with driving at an unsafe speed after he struck a utility pole along South Imler Valley Road in King Township around 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Police said Barefoot was driving south when the crash occurred and he continued to off the road before coming to rest in a field. Police said he was wearing a seat belt.

Clearfield state police

– A Coalport man faces harassment and criminal mischief charges after police said he shoved a man into a wall at veterans shelter Tomorrows Hope. Police said Gaetano T. Mangione, 49, also slammed a door into a wall, causing damage to both.

Huntingdon state police

– Charges are pending against a Shirley Township couple who were allegedly found in possession of a white powder at their home with their child nearby. Police said Dennis Gene Collins Jr. and Bethany Taylor were found in their garage, along the 14400 block of Wrangletown Road, around 4 p.m. Friday in possession of a white powdery substance. Police said their two-year-old child was in their home. Children and Youth Services removed the child and charges of drug possession and endangering the welfare of a child are pending, police said.

– Police said a man reaching for food on his passenger’s side seat caused a Wednesday morning crash in Brady Township. Police said Thomas E. Caine Jr., 40, Havre de Grace, Md., was driving west on Route 22 around 6 a.m. when he reached for food. He swerved across the center lane, police said, and struck a utility pole guide wire. His vehicle traveled another 20 feet and went over a guardrail. Caine was wearing his seat belt and wasn’t injured, police said, but will be charged for the incident.

– A James Creek man suffered minor injuries after he lost control of his vehicle along James Creek Road Thursday afternoon, police said. According to police, Wayne J. Lauer, 83, was driving south when he lose control of his Honda CR-V and crossed into the other traffic lane. Police said Lauer’s vehicle struck an embankment and rolled over. Lauer was wearing his seat belt. He will be charged for the crash, police said.

Philipsburg state police

– Police said charges are pending against a known 15-year-old juvenile who allegedly was found with synthetic marijuana Wednesday morning around 9:30 a.m. at Philipsburg-Osceola High School.

– Brad Aaron Floyd, 32, 11 Duff Drive, was arrested Friday on the 1200 block of Park Boulevard and charged with violating a protection-from-abuse order.

– Donald Gene Clark Jr., 61, 2624 Walnut Ave., was arrested Saturday morning at 24th Street and Maple Avenue and charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

– Janel Leigh McMaster, 30, 1218 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Apt. A, was arrested Saturday morning on the 2200 block of Ninth Avenue and charged with driving under the influence and a related charge.

– Canaan Laich, 32, 1324 17th Ave., was arrested Saturday at his residence and charged with simple assault, terrorist threats, stalking and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

– Donald F. Ickes, 41 1022 Second Ave., was arrested Saturday night on the 1000 block of Second Avenue and charged with driving under the influence, fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest, careless driving and related traffic violations.

– Roy Kelly Sr., 56, 322 Crawford Ave., was arrested Saturday in Altoona and charged with public drunkenness and a related charge.

– John Stewart, 44, 1608 N. Sixth Ave., was arrested Sunday morning at 17th Street and Sixth Avenue and charged with driving under the influence.

– Joseph Compton, 22, 2420 Second Ave., was arrested Sunday morning at Seventh Street and Lexington Avenue where he was charged with driving under the influence, careless driving and failure to drive on roadways laned for traffic.

Hollidaysburg state police

– A Fuji digital camera valued at $210 was reported stolen between Feb. 1 and Feb. 6 from a Stadium Drive residence in Antis Township.

Bedford state police

– Purses were reported stolen Friday or Saturday from unlocked vehicles in Hyndman.

– A 32-gallon copper kettle, valued at $3,200, was reported stolen between Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 from a Bedford Township residence on Roxbury Road. Anyone with information should contact state police at 623-6133.

– A fake tax return was filed between Jan. 25 and Feb. 3, using identification information belonging to an East Providence Township man.

– Nicholas Anthony Volkman, 23, McConnellsburg, and Holly Kay Ilgen, 45, Saxton, were charged Friday with harassment after fighting on the 700 block of Main Street in Saxton.

Clearfield state police

– A fake tax return was filed Jan. 31 with the Internal Revenue Service, showing a Social Security number belonging to a 61-year-old Curwensville woman.

Huntingdon state police

– Higher-than-usual amounts of counterfeit money have been reported by businesses in Huntingdon County. This includes a fake $100 bill provided to the Sandy Ridge Market in Cromwell Township. Any similar incidents should be relayed to state police.

– Two firearms were reported stolen Thursday during the burglary of a Cromwell Township residence on Pogue Road. The firearms are described as a stainless steel Taurus revolver with a black handle and a 12-gauge Winchester 1300 black shotgun. Anyone with information should contact state police.

– Louis Miller, 49, East Freedom, was arrested early Sunday on the 3100 block of Broad Avenue and charged with driving under the influence.

– Nicholas Horton, 20, 119 Crawford Ave., was arrested early Sunday at Eighth Street and Sixth Avenue and charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

– Anthony R. Thornhill, 56, Duncansville, was arrested early Sunday on the 2900 block of Broad Avenue and charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

– Allan Grager, 309 First St., was arrested on the 300 block of First Street on a Blair County sheriff’s warrant.

Huntingdon state police

– Jane Riling, 51, Huntingdon, will be charged with retail theft for stealing $85 worth of groceries from a store in Smithfield Township.

– Todd Ashman, 41, Mount Union, was charged with theft after taking $175 in December to deliver firewood to a resident of Blairs Mills, then not following through.

Clearfield state police

– Angel Ross, 19, Irvona, and Jerri McGary, 23, Madera, were charged with retail theft when they and a man known to police stole $30 worth of merchandise from a convenience store in Coalport Jan. 17.

– Ashley Decriscio was arrested Friday evening at 19th Street and Union Avenue on a parole warrant based on an alleged escape in Allegheny County.

– Mario J. Dipippo, 24, 1927 Fourth Ave., was arrested early Saturday on the 700 block of Chestnut Avenue and charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

– Lukas Zimmerman, 715 Lake Ave., was arrested early Saturday on the 700 block of Chestnut Avenue and charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

– Jeffrey E. Cruthers, 22, 526 Gage Ave., was arrested early Saturday on the 700 block of Chestnut Avenue and charged with public drunkenness.

– Micklane S. Dunne, 21, 526 Gage Ave., was arrested early Saturday on the 700 block of Chestnut Avenue and charged with public drunkenness.

– Lee S. Stein, 21, 507 Fourth St., third floor, was arrested early Saturday at home and charged with domestic violence, simple assault and harassment.

– Joseff R. Daniel, 25, 2626 Beale Ave., was arrested early Saturday at Tenth Street and Fifth Avenue and charged with fleeing and eluding after a short vehicle chase.

– Dylan J. Moore, 21, 1515 15th St., was arrested Saturday morning at home on a Blair County sheriff’s warrant.

Hollidaysburg state police

– Thieves stole two 12-volt batteries from the front storage compartments of two utility trailers at the parking lot of an electrical firm on Brush Mountain Road in Antis Township last week. The loss was about $170.

Rockview state police

– John W. Dann Jr., 48, Bellefonte, was cited for harassment after he pushed a 40-year-old man at Tyrone Area High School Saturday evening.

– A burglar stole two guns, a Mossberg 30.06 and a Marlin Model 25, .22-caliber, from a house on the 200 block of Big Spring Lane in Snow Shoe Township during the last week.

Clearfield state police

– Robert A. Goodrow, 69, Woodland, was charged with disorderly conduct after he rammed another man’s four-wheeler with his pickup, after they argued about how snow was being plowed on Goodrow Lane in Bradford Township Friday afternoon.

– Paul E. Bloom, 49, Morrisdale, will be charged with harassment for punching a 25-year-old Hyde man in the head on the 600 block of Nelson Road in Graham Township Friday evening.
