Sentencings

The following sentencings were filed in Blair County Court. Although some cases may be more than a year old, the Mirror publishes them in the interest of complete reporting.

The following defendants pleaded guilty to charges listed and were sentenced as shown:

Robert C. Harris, 48, 306 Sixth Ave., rear, Altoona, sentenced Oct. 12, 2018, to 12 months minus one day to 24 months minus two days in jail and $200 fine for strangulation, filed by Altoona police on May 14, 2018.

Michael R. Lamborn, 26, 641 Jade Ave., Altoona, sentenced July 10, 2018, to 48 hours to six months in jail and $500 fine for DUI and one summary traffic violation, filed by Allegheny Township police on April 21, 2018.

Anthony McClean, 42, 5315 Kershaw St., Philadelphia, sentenced Aug. 10, 2018, to 90 days to 23 months in jail and $1,500 fine for DUI and driving while license suspended or revoked, filed by Allegheny Township police on April 5, 2018.

Brandon A. Gripp, 23, 2454 Edgewood Drive, Tyrone, sentenced Oct. 19, 2018, to $200 fine and six months’ probation for simple assault and $100 fine for harassment, filed by state police May 3.

Holly M. Burroughs, 34, 2207 Eighth Ave., Apt. 1, Altoona, sentenced Sept. 21, 2018, to $10,000 fine for theft by unlawful taking, filed by Altoona police on April 16, 2018.

Aaron N. Walter, 31, homeless, sentenced Oct. 29, 2018, to six months’ to 23.5 months in jail, a $100 fine and six months’ probation for simple assault; a $25 fine for harassment; a $25 fine for recklessly endangering another person; a $100 fine and six months’ probation for defiant trespass; and a $50 fine and six months’ probation for resisting arrest, filed by Altoona police on May 10, 2018.

Jesse T. Adams, 29, 240 Spang St., Roaring Spring, sentenced Oct. 17, 2018, to 10 days to two years in jail and $1,000 fine for DUI-highest rate and two summary traffic violations, filed by Roaring Spring Borough police on April 6, 2018.

Amanda M. Toohey, 36, 5707 Ohio Ave., Altoona, sentenced Aug. 22, 2018, to $80.93 fine and six months’ probation for retail theft, filed by Allegheny Township police on April 13, 2018.

Caleb M. Epple, 26, 3905 Burgoon Road, Altoona, sentenced Oct. 12, 2018, to $2,500 fine and restitution of $11,232.84 for an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle or property; a $25 fine for careless driving; and a $200 fine for driving without a license, filed by Altoona police on April 10, 2018.

Corey M. Horon, 37, 718 N. 20th St, Altoona, sentenced Oct. 5, 2018, to a $200 fine and 12 months’ probation for an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle or property; a $200 fine for driving while operating privileges are suspended or revoked; a $25 fine for failure to stop and give information; and a $25 for driving at safe speed, filed by Altoona police on March 27, 2018.

Tareek A. Hemingway, 26, 511 N. Third St., Altoona, sentenced Sept. 10, 2018, to period of time served to 23.5 months in jail and a $200 fine for theft by unlawful taking, filed by Altoona police on Feb. 20, 2018.

Michael A. Burchfield, 44, 515 N. Fifth St., Altoona, sentenced Oct. 29, 2018, to $50 fine for possession of drug paraphernalia, filed by Altoona police on April 20, 2018.

Michael P. Leeper, 38, no fixed address, sentenced Aug. 27, 2018, to time served to 23.5 months in jail, a $200 fine and payment of $1,999 restitution for theft by unlawful taking; and a $200 fine and six months’ probation for theft from a motor vehicle, filed by Bellwood police on Feb. 13, 2018.

Jason P. Neil, 37, 2257 Columbia Ave., Tyrone, sentenced Oct. 26, 2018, to a $100 fine and 12 months’ probation for two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, filed by Tyrone police on March 14, 2018.

The following defendants were placed in Probation Without Verdict Program for four to six months and will pay all statutorily imposed costs of prosecution:

Delores E. Hicks, 40, 1500 Blair Ave., Tyrone, charged by Tyrone police with possession of drug paraphernalia on March 19, 2018.
