Area GOP committees host Jordan
DUNCANSVILLE — Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio will be attending a John Joyce fundraising event and also will be the featured speaker at a dinner hosted by the Republican Committees from Blair, Huntingdon and Bedford counties.
Jordan is recognized nationally as among the fiscally conservative members of the U.S. House.
He is a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus and was the conservative group’s first chairman. He has been an advocate of the taxpayer, looking for waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government.
Jordan serves as the ranking member on the House Oversight and Reform Committee and on the House Judiciary Committee.
The dinner begins at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, at the Altoona Grand Hotel. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased in Blair County by calling 300-0575 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
