He’s been Penn State’s top administrator since 2014.

The board is also approving salary increases for the provost, Nicholas Jones, and a senior vice president, David Gray.

HUNTINGDON

Animal cruelty charges filed

A Huntingdon County man faces charges he abandoned his dog when he moved.

Randy Cohenour, 54, of Three Springs, faces charges after a cruelty to animals investigation was launched by state police when a neighbor reported Cohenour moved out of his home and left the dog, according to state police in Huntingdon.

State police indicated the neighbor fed the dog and provided water for the animal for a week before Cohenour returned.

The dog was in poor condition from not having food or water and has been removed from the home, state police added. The animal was taken to the Huntingdon County Humane Society to be evaluated, and Cohenour will be charged at a later date.
