LORETTO

SFU a ‘College of Distinction’

Saint Francis University was recently honored as both a “Catholic College of Distinction” and a “College of Distinction” for the 2019-20 school year.

The Catholic College of Distinction honor is based on the school’s excellence in four distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities and successful outcomes.

The university has again been recognized for its programs by the national Colleges of Distinction organization for the 2019-20 academic year for innovative leadership in higher education.

To be designated a “college of distinction,” a school’s curriculum must emphasize core competencies such as critical thinking, writing, oral skills, research and global perspectives. They must also offer out-of-classroom learning and study abroad programs.
