TYRONE — A Tyrone man is in jail after police say he was passed out in his car at a convenience store.

John D. Keith, 48, of 3261 S. Third St. was arrested about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of Sheetz after Tyrone police were called for a report of a man passed out behind the wheel of his car.

According to police, Keith had several items in the car that are used to make methamphetamine, such as lighter fluid and cold and flu capsules, and when his car was searched, police allegedly found three containers of meth­amphetamine, three meth­amphetamine pipes, a pot pipe, a partial Subutex strip and a couple of pills.

Bail was set for Keith at 10 percent of $50,000 cash.
