Bullet passes through home

TYRONE — A bullet from a rifle police say was fired from Northwood passed through a Tyrone home Wednesday.

Tyrone Police Chief John Romeo said Thursday the investigation is ongoing and said a rifle was confiscated and police have identified a suspect in the incident that left a bullet lodged in the front door of a home in the borough.

Romeo said no one was hurt, and the .308-caliber round was retrieved from the home. The shot was fired from Northwood.

Charges are expected to be filed in the near future, Romeo said.
