Osceola Mills man pleads to charges

Lefort gets 90 days to one year in county jail

CLEARFIELD — An Osceola Mills man pleaded guilty for his involvement with drugs during a special sentencing court in Clearfield County on Monday.

The vehicle in which Brandon Charles Lefort, 22, was traveling was stopped by state police in Osceola Mills on Aug. 15 after a trooper noticed a brake light was not working. Two of the female occupants had active warrants, it was reported.

Lefort, Kayla Nichole Rauch, 31, of Clearfield and Chelsea Marie Kephart, 35, of Osceola Mills were all arrested after police spotted drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

A further search reportedly uncovered an ounce of methamphetamine, scales, more drug paraphernalia, black tar heroin and numerous pills.

Lefort was sentenced to 90 days to one year in the county jail and two years of consecutive probation for a felony count of conspiracy/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, by President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman on Monday.

It was noted that Lefort received a lower sentence because he cooperated with the investigation of the co-defendants.

In March, Rauch pleaded guilty to felony drug charges and was sentenced to serve two years in the state Intermediate Punishment Program.

Court documents indicate Kephart’s case is still pending.
