Cambria EMA honored

The Cambria County Emergency Management Agency has been recognized by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency for outstanding achievement in the “30Days/30Ways: Learn How to Prepare for Emergencies Program.”

According to PEMA, the goal of National Preparedness Month in September is to increase the numbers of individuals, families and communities that engage in preparedness actions at home, work, schools and places of worship.

Cambria County Deputy Director of Emergency Management Art Martynuska led the county effort. It resulted in the highest percentage of people registered during the 30-day event in the state. He recognized the work of his staff in moving the program forward.

Martynuska encouraged residents to call the EMA office at 472-2050 for more information on emergency and disaster planning.
